Barclay Beirne Lawyers commenced in 2001 by Michael Beirne LLB(Syd) with over 30 year’s experience in dispute resolution, litigation, corporate and personal insolvency and business.
The firm is comprised of Michael Beirne-Principal, Lauren Drysdale- Paralegal and document analyst. Also supported by specialist advisers including forensic accountants, insolvency practitioners, valuers, specialist counsel and leading expert witnesses with whom the firm has strategic partnerships.

A long-time resident of the Sunshine Coast, Michael is a Sydney native and has called Queensland his home since 1988. Michael is an Accredited Specialist in Business Law and has a continuing interest in legal education, being a member of the Queensland Law Society Business Law Specialist Accreditation committee. Michael served as a Law Society Senior Counsellor providing voluntary practice support and ethics advice to members of the profession from 2013 to 2023.
